The Assistant Director for Recruitment with a focus on Transfer Initiatives is responsible for supervising professional staff and developing and implementing a strategic recruitment plan for Transfer Student initiatives. This position provides support and counseling to prospective transfer students that includes navigating the admissions process, financial aid options, and guidance on unofficial evaluations of transfer credit, on campus and on-site at designated junior/community colleges. This position supports the planning and execution of high-yield, on campus programming for underserved populations, including Transfer Student Visit Day and Military and Veteran Student Visit Day, and develops strategies for increasing enrollment among these populations, including administration of the SSS Partnership Awards (scholarships), service on a variety of scholarship committees, and partnering with the Community for Excellence and Access Center. The Assistant Director for Recruitment -Transfer Initiatives organizes and oversees the training of new admissions staff, both transfer and freshman teams, on transfer-specific policies, procedures, and practices, including application review. This position is charged with navigating complex transfer issues and providing a clear path to enrollment for prospective transfer students, reading applications and rendering admissions decisions, and responding to a wide scope of inquiries.

You will provide leadership for these efforts and are tasked with advancing ideas aligned with Colorado State University’s Land-Grant mission and the Principles of Community. This position is ideal for professionals looking to grow in a supervisory role, engage in business strategy, develop an effective recruitment strategy for transfer initiatives, and use previous experience to meet the needs of our students and develop new markets. This position reports directly to the Director of Recruitment and will also participate in foundational admissions and enrollment management-related activities. The position requires travel and weekend/evening work. This position will be based on campus in Fort Collins, CO.
